Background
Suntory Group in Singapore directed Cerebos to conduct a Vendor Review of the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne implementation across Australia and New Zealand operations. This mandate required a comprehensive assessment to support the project budget, control frameworks, and vendor negotiation.
Business Challenge
Cerebos needed urgent, short-term expert assistance that centered on a robust program governance framework.
TheĀ Vendor Review formed a key component of this effort. This review aimed to critically analyse the Vendor’s proposal and ensure alignment with strategic and operational expectations.
Results
CMC provided several highly focused and experienced consultants. These consultants supported Cerebos throughout the engagement. Their contributions included:
- A detailed review of the Vendor’s proposal documents.
- Program scoping and governance evaluations.
- Collaboration with the CFO and CIO to align the program structure with business objectives.
- Development of a high-level Change Management Plan. This plan outlined the scope and budget and formed part of the overall review considerations.
- Design of the high-level Training Plan with scope and budget. They tailored this plan to the training demands of the implementation and incorporated it into the Vendor Review deliverables.
- Preparation of an internal briefing paper. This paper addressed and resolved discrepancies in expectations around the vendor’s testing commitments. This formed an essential facet of the Vendor Review process.
- The team created an additional report for the CFO and Board. This report forecasted potential Vendor-driven change controls. It helped Cerebos anticipate and negotiate contractual modifications and ensure accountability in future program stages.
CMC’s structured Vendor Review enabled Cerebos to build a clear, actionable foundation. This foundation prepared them for their forthcoming ERP implementation with improved risk mitigation and stakeholder confidence.
