Background
Southern Metropolitan Cemeteries NSW (SMCNSW) was established in 2012. SMCNSW is responsible for the management and governance of the Woronora Memorial Park and the Eastern Suburbs Memorial Park.
Business Challenge
SMCNSW was looking to implement a new integrated Cemetery Management and Finance Solution to support ongoing growth, reduce manual processes and to improve efficiencies in the areas of financial and management reporting, sales and marketing, customer care, facilities management and maintenance across the two sites.
The scope of the initial implementation was Woronora Memorial Park operations as well as the Finance /Administration function. Eastern Suburbs Memorial Park will be implemented separately once a proven operational template has been proven at Woronora.
Software Evaluation Results
CMC was engaged to facilitate an independent and auditable Software Evaluation – SMCNSW to determine which Cemetery Management and Finance solution would best support the organisation moving forward. CMC’s Software Evaluation Methodology was used to assess the Vendors and their Solutions.
CMC prepared the Business Requirements and Request for Proposal using CMC’s unique Business Scenarios. SMCNSW then decided on a shortlist of Vendors to progress to the Demonstrations. A preferred Vendor was selected following extensive reference checking and due diligence. SMCNSW then proceeded to the Design Stage with the preferred Vendor.
CMC provided CIO Services and Project Management to support the activities for a successful Detailed Design Phase.
