Background
David Brown Gear Industries (DBGI) was running on a legacy system that did not offer an integrated solution or appropriate functional support for the business. The business went through an upgrade to the latest version of their legacy system, however, this was not found to significantly improve the issues they were experiencing.
Business Challenge
DBGI needed to conduct a pragmatic and concise Evaluation and Selection Process to identify a suitable vendor for a replacement business system.
Results
CMC supported DBGI with an Evaluation and Selection process which focussed on identifying minimal key business scenarios; focussing entirely on the key problem areas of the business.
An ERP Evaluation and Selection process was conducted based on half day vendor presentations directed towards satisfying the defined business scenario. A Business Case was developed internally and submitted to the UK parent company for consideration.
