Background

PVH Brands Australia (PVHBA), formerly Gazal Corporation, represents various clothing, intimate apparel, and sleepwear brands in Australia and New Zealand. To cut costs and improve warehouse efficiency, PVHBA launched several supply chain improvement initiatives. These changes supported the company’s growth plans.

Previously, each PVHBA division ran its own warehouse. PVHBA saw an opportunity to boost productivity by creating a Common Operating Model (COM). This model would consolidate warehouse operations and manage them as a shared service.

To make this change, PVHBA needed a new Warehouse Management Solution (WMS).

Business Challenge

PVHBA needed focused, experienced project management support to prepare for project completion and a successful Go Live.

Results

PVHBA engaged CMC to define the Common Operating Model and manage the project.

CMC also led the physical redesign of the warehouses and evaluated a new Advanced Warehouse Management System.

CMC managed several major tasks. These included relocating the Silverwater facility, gaining Business Case and Board approval for a steam tunnel, and selecting the right warehouse management system.

In the next phase, PVHBA rolled out the new WMS. They transitioned divisional storage to the shared model and redesigned the facility with better technology and processes. They also introduced a charging model to support the shared warehouse service.

The CMC team are committed to realistic and pragmatic outcomes and have delivered executive level support and detailed guidance around requirements definition, vendor evaluation and selection, project management and testing leadership
