Lynch Group ERP Background

Lynch Group dominates the Australian wholesale market for fresh flowers and plants, supplying major brands such as Clover Hill, which is distributed through Woolworths. A financial group had recently invested in Lynch as an equity partner. Following the investment, Lynch identified a strong strategic need to replace its existing Sage Line 100 Legacy System to better support the organisation’s business processes and future growth.

Business Challenge

Lynch initiated a detailed Evaluation Process to identify a suitable replacement ERP system. The new system needed to align with the financial constraints set by the Board while delivering tangible benefits to the business. Lynch also reviewed its existing infrastructure and assessed the need for expansion to support disaster recovery and redundancy capabilities. This formed part of a broader Infrastructure Assessment required for the rollout.

Results

Lynch engaged CMC to lead a structured assessment of potential Enterprise Applications and ERP solutions. CMC provided its Expression of Interest (EOI) and Request for Proposal (RFP) processes and templates, enabling Lynch to shortlist suitable vendors.

Lynch selected SAP A1 as the preferred ERP solution. The vendor successfully implemented the project.

CMC brought considerable rigour and structure to our technology evaluation process. CMC’s independence and strategic view enabled us to move forward with a high degree of confidence that we were making the right purchasing decision
