Business Challenge
Advanced Precast initiated their tri-annual managed services provider review to identify the most effective IT services outsourcing solution. The company sought assistance from an independent consulting organisation to evaluate potential IT service partners.
The review included the following scope:
- All physical and virtual servers currently located at Advanced Precast premises.
- Server operating system management and maintenance.
- WAN and LAN Services (threat management, firewall management and internet connectivity).
- Virtual Systems Management.
- Provisioning Services (SOE imaging / application deployment / asset management).
- Backup and Restoration.
- Disaster Recovery Management.
Vendor Evaluation Results
Advanced Precast engaged Combined Management Consultants to facilitate an independent Vendor Evaluation of Infrastructure Managed Service Vendors.
CMC applied its Evaluation Methodology to assess qualified Vendors for managed service solutions.
The team documented requirements and prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP). The shortlisted Vendors presented their solutions to the Evaluation Team. CMC then conducted due diligence and checked references.
The company selected its preferred IT Services Vendor and moved forward with implementation.
