Oasis Horticulture is a privately owned business with a strong track record of success and growth in the horticultural industry. The company leads the market with production facilities near Cranbourne in Victoria and Springwood in NSW.
Recent acquisitions had strengthened this position and enabled Oasis to improve production efficiency and share industry knowledge to deliver high-quality plants.
Business Challenge
Oasis had modified its existing systems over time, but they could no longer support the company’s growth. The new system needed to cover the following functions:
- Customer Order Management
- Inventory Management
- Pick, Pack and Dispatch
- Purchasing
- Financials, including G/L, A/R, A/P, and Asset Management
- Payroll
- Interfaces to customer and supplier systems
- Integration with websites and payroll systems
Results
Oasis engaged CMC to independently evaluate and select a new ERP Vendor and Solution.
CMC used its proven Evaluation Methodology to:
- Document Oasis Horticulture’s business requirements using Business Scenarios.
- Prepare a detailed Request for Proposal (RFP).
- Facilitate a market assessment.
- Arrange short-listed Vendor demonstrations.
- Conduct Vendor Due-Diligence and Reference Checking
Oasis selected Pronto as their preferred ERP. The Board approved the project, which then moved to the Design and Implementation Phases. CMC continued to provide project management and consulting support until the project went live.
