Background
Stylecraft Australia supplies high-quality commercial, hospitality, and residential furniture to the architectural and design community. Their product range spans from basic functional items to innovative high-end designs. They actively source new products from both international and local designers who lead in responsible interior and furniture design.
Business Challenge
Stylecraft decided to replace its core business systems – MYOB Premier and a customised Lotus Notes database with a more efficient and flexible solution. The new system needed to support business processes for about 25 users without requiring dedicated internal IT resources.
Management wanted a robust, stable solution that could deliver timely, accurate financial information and ensure profitable operations. They aimed to reduce data re-entry, eliminate reliance on spreadsheets, and improve business processes to create a reliable source of information for informed decision-making.
Results
CMC led a structured Evaluation and Selection Process. Using CMC’s methodology and templates, the team:
- Defined business requirements and processes for all departments.
- Established project standards and created a central repository for project documentation, outlined in the Project Management Handbook.
- Identified the scope of data cleaning and conversion.
- Developed and delivered training plans for affected staff.
- Collaborated with the Change Management and Training Team to prepare the organisation for deployment and user training.
Stylecraft selected Microsoft Dynamics NAV as the preferred solution and successfully implemented it.
