Background

Witchery Group (Witchery and Mimco) are leading fashion retailers. As the business grew, Witchery aimed to improve customer service and streamline internal processes. The legacy ERP systems couldn’t support their local and international expansion. The company identified Allocation and Replenishment as a quick-win opportunity. The company also needed a modern ERP platform to support its future Omni Channel strategy. Witchery therefore required experienced ERP Consulting support to help implement the business system changes.

Business Challenge

Witchery required a scalable ERP system to replace its outdated and heavily customised platforms. The business also saw value in creating a Common Operating Model across Witchery and Mimco.

An interim Allocation and Replenishment solution was urgently needed to improve inventory management and boost sell-through rates. Project and IT processes lacked structure and consistency, making it harder to manage multiple initiatives.

Results

CMC provided ERP Consulting and ERP Strategic guidance throughout the program. The existing IT Service Desk and Group Services Team were restructured. Witchery created new internal roles, including:

  • PMO Manager
  • Change and Transition Manager
  • Business Analysts
  • Business Project Managers

CMC supported and mentored these roles, alongside a senior retail consultant engaged by Witchery. The business also formed a Steering Committee to oversee all project activity.

CMC’s Senior Consultant led the ERP Evaluation and Selection process. Witchery selected two new business systems: AP21 and MapleLake. CMC helped implement an interim Excel-based Allocation and Replenishment model. This allowed Witchery to test the new approach and achieve early business gains.

CMC also provided Organisational Change Management and training. The team continues to support Witchery with ERP consulting and other projects, including the Time and Attendance rollout and PMO development.
