Background

Gazal Corporation is a leading apparel supplier of casual wear, men’s business shirts, intimate apparel, work wear and school wear. Gazal initiated a project to implement Epicor for Retail for their merchandising, sales and allocation to their retail stores in 2011.

Business Challenge

The organisation required some focused and experienced project management support to assist in preparing the organisation for project completion and Go Live.

Results

CMC was engaged to conduct a project health check on the structure, deliverables, resources, costs and feasibility of the project. The health check highlighted a number of areas for opportunity. CMC’s project manager formalised a project structure, established status visibility, reporting channels with all stakeholders and a functional project resource structure with key accountabilities. The project went live successfully in October 2012 in accordance with the revised schedule.

CMC continued to support Gazal’s post “Go Live” requirements and other IT initiatives. A 3 month Post Implementation Review and Remediation project was then initiated to address ongoing post Go Live requirements. The project was completed successfully and CMC continues to provide Gazal with project management support for a series of Supply Chain and Retail Business Systems initiatives.

CMC’s Project Manager and Project Coordinator managed this project in the most professional and controlled manner at all times. There is no doubt without such focus and a “can do” attitude we would have struggled severely to meet the time frames expected by the business
