Background

Vittoria Food & Beverage (formally Cantarella Bros) manufactures coffee and imports European fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) such as cheeses, beverages and delicatessen products.

The company has a mature minicomputer based ERP application which had a perceived number of gaps in terms of delivering functional support to the business.

Business Challenge

CMC was engaged to develop a Strategic Information Systems Plan (SISP) for the business that could be used as a business systems road map for the next 3 to 5 years.

Results

Projects to address the Service Desk, WAN Upgrade, Warehouse Management, Manufacturing and Forecasting were scoped and initiated. The business implemented the following point solutions.

  • Demand Solutions – Forecasting and Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP).
  • Wyse – Warehouse Management Solution.
  • Track It! – Help Desk System.

CMC were invited to review the situation against the Strategic Information Systems Plan 3 years later and an action plan was prepared for the newly appointed IT Manager.
