Built is a privately owned Australian company that has been in business since 1998. Built is a national diversified general contractor and one of Australia’s largest private construction groups. The organisation works across all major property markets including commercial office, retail, residential, hotels and hospitality, health and aged care, education, government and transport. Core areas of focus are Construction, Fitout and Refurbishment and Property Development.
The business was looking to implement a fully integrated “end to end” Construction Management Platform that satisfied most of the business requirements. The first step in this process was to address the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) aspects with an underlying principle to ensure there was “one source of the truth” with common processes and systems across the business.
An automated solution was anticipated to reduce manual processes, paperwork and duplication of data entry and provide improved management reports. Built was also keen to adopt a solution that is easy for their Sub-Contractors to use.
CMC was engaged to conduct an independent Evaluation and Selection Process to determine which HSE solution would best support the business moving forward. A Vendor Pre-Qualification process was facilitated to assist in short listing suitable Vendors and solutions. CMC then worked with the business to document Built’s Key Business Scenarios.
CMC project managed an RFP process, Vendor Presentations, Due Diligence and provided technical advice to support the decision making process.
A Vendor Selection Report was prepared for the Executive and Built proceeded to implementation with the preferred Vendor.
