ERP Evaluation Background
Flick Anticimex (Flick) is a leading provider of expert pest control and hygiene services in Australia and New Zealand. They provide a wide range of integrated treatment solutions for residential and commercial pest control and termite solutions. Flick also provides comprehensive washroom hygiene services.
Business Challenge
Flick Anticimex has grown organically and via strategic acquisitions over 100 years. Different areas of the organisation have implemented a range of business systems during this time. These legacy systems have become difficult and expensive to manage and maintain. They are now less effective at supporting the organisation.
Flick needed to better manage and control the current and planned business processes. They also needed to drive efficiencies and provide a foundation for expansion in the future.
ERP Evaluation Results
CMC was engaged to facilitate an independent, pragmatic, and auditable ERP Evaluation Process to determine the best Vendor to meet Flick’s ERP, Field Service and CRM requirements moving forward. Flick had decided to focus on a Microsoft solution in line with Sweden’s head office. Sweden had previously negotiated an enterprise agreement with Microsoft.
CMC conducted workshops with the Business Process Owners. The workshops defined Flick’s business and technical integration requirements using CMC’s Business Scenario Methodology. A “Day in the Life Of” Business Scenario was also developed to guide the Vendor Presentations.
Functional areas included:
- Field Service
- Sales Management
- Finance
- Purchasing, Shipment and Landed Costing
- Inventory Management
- CRM and Marketing
- Integrations to Flick’s Website, Payroll, Data Warehouse and SMART Pest Device Controllers
CMC project managed the RFP process, the Vendor Presentations and provided technical advice to support the due diligence and decision-making process.
A Vendor Selection Report was prepared for the Executive Team and the organisation moved forward with their preferred Microsoft Vendor.
Following the completion of the Detailed Scoping and Design Phase, Flick decided to proceed with an alternative Vendor (the Vendor who came 2nd in the Evaluation as the original D365 Vendor failed to give Flick confidence in their implementation approach or solution design. The new D365 Vendor revised the design, and this was approved for the project delivery.
CMC continues to provide Strategic Support and Client-Sided Program Management for the Build and Implementation Phase of the project.
