Eastern Nomad Buildings is a privately owned business that provides a complete range of services around the hire and sales of portable buildings Eg. Site offices, lunch rooms, change rooms, gate houses, site storage, classroom, office space and conference rooms.
The client required an experienced Project Manager and Consultant to work in a proactive and “hands on” manner to drive the UAT and deployment of a new Web based application into the business. The application had been built and now requires a resource to work independently to achieve the desired outcomes. The new business solution included: Customer and Contact Information, Opportunity Tracking, Quoting, Order handling and Contracting, Sales Analysis, Inventory, Asset Management, Invoicing, Accounts Receivable, Cash Receipting, General Ledger, Reporting and Accounts Payable.
CMC took on the day to day responsibility to drive the project through to completion. CMC also developed UAT plans and executed these with assistance from key users, liaised with the vendor to resolve defects in a timely manner, developed process and training documentation; refined final conversion and deployment plan and assisted in overseeing cut over.
CMC was then invited to manage an Evaluation and Selection Project to source a replacement financial solution for the business. Eastern Nomad Buildings utilised CMC’s Evaluation and Selection Methodology and Templates, which included the development of critical business scenarios. A short list of Vendors provided demonstrations and the organisation decided to implement Timberline.
