Grocery Corporation is a third generation family-owned and operated company that has been representing local and international brands in the Australian market place for over 80 years. Grocery Corporation offers clients a seamless logistical service with a transparent pricing structure and targeted retail price.

Business Challenge

The business was seeking a review of their current technology environment to assess whether they should integrate their existing Financial System (Pronto) ERP with other business systems or upgrade Pronto to include additional functionality to support increased growth, reduce manual processes and improve workflow and efficiencies in the areas of forecasting, inventory, EDI and financial and management reporting.

Results

Although the initial plan was for CMC to conduct a pragmatic market assessment of potential solutions; the decision was made to proceed to upgrade Pronto and to assess potential point solutions for specific areas of the business where appropriate.

CMC’s strategic consultant provided CIO Services to support Grocery Corporation with technology and business systems advice and the preparation of a pragmatic project plan of activities to proceed with the ERP Upgrade and integration with other solutions for EDI and Forecasting.

CMC then project managed the Vendor and Client teams including data conversion and training activities.
