Asset Management Implementation – John Holland Rail

Background

John Holland Rail initiated a project to implement RAMSYS – a Linear Asset Management application integrated with the IBM Maximo Asset Management System to provide Linear Visualisation and Conditioning Monitoring of the Country Region Network (CRN) rail assets.

Business Challenge

CRN had implemented Maximo in 2011 and required project management assistance to complete a scoping exercise to confirm how CRN would use RAMSYS and how it would integrate with Maximo.

Results

John Holland Rail engaged CMC to project manage the implementation of RAMSYS. Configuration of the RAMSYS system and development of the integration to Maximo was being conducted by the Mermec team (specialists in Rail Measurement and Diagnostic Solutions) based in Italy. The project went live successfully in October 2013.
