ERP Evaluation Background

Flick Anticimex (Flick) provides expert pest control and hygiene services in Australia and New Zealand. They offer a wide range of integrated treatment solutions for residential and commercial pest control, termite solutions, and comprehensive washroom hygiene services.

Business Challenge

Flick Anticimex has grown organically and through strategic acquisitions over 100 years.

During this time, different areas of the organization implemented various business systems. These legacy systems have become difficult and expensive to manage and maintain, and now less effectively support the organization.

Flick needed to improve management and control of current and planned business processes. They also aimed to drive efficiencies and establish a foundation for future expansion.

ERP Evaluation Results

Flick engaged CMC to facilitate an independent, pragmatic, and auditable ERP Evaluation Process.

This process aimed to determine the best vendor to meet Flick’s ERP, Field Service, and CRM requirements moving forward. Flick had decided to focus on a Microsoft solution, aligning with their Swedish head office’s previous enterprise agreement with Microsoft.

CMC conducted workshops with Business Process Owners, defining Flick’s business and technical integration requirements using CMC’s Business Scenario Methodology. They also developed a “Day in the Life Of” Business Scenario to guide Vendor Presentations.

  • Integrations to Flick’s Website, Payroll, Data Warehouse and SMART Pest Device Controllers

CMC project-managed the RFP process and Vendor Presentations, providing technical advice to support due diligence and decision-making.

CMC prepared a Vendor Selection Report for the Executive Team, after which the organization moved forward with their preferred Microsoft Vendor.

After completing the Detailed Scoping and Design Phase, Flick decided to proceed with an alternative Vendor. This Vendor, who initially ranked second in the Evaluation, replaced the original D365 Vendor due to concerns about their implementation approach and solution design. The new D365 Vendor revised the design, which Flick approved for project delivery.

CMC continues to provide Strategic Support and Client-Sided Program Management for the Build and Implementation Phase of the project.

We used CMC to assist us with our Evaluation for a new ERP and Field Services Solution. CMC’s step by step Evaluation process was excellent. It enabled Flick to better understand our business requirements and to assess the type of ERP systems that the Vendors had to offer. The scripted demonstrations also added a great deal of value
