Background

Roland Corporation Australia (Roland) is an importer and distributor of Roland products such as musical instruments including pianos, keyboards and synthesizers, guitar products, electronic percussion kits, digital recording equipment, amplifiers and audio processing devices.

Business Challenge

Roland was looking to further develop their CRM, Portal and ERP capability which required upgrading their technical environment to accommodate the requirements introduced by current technologies, such as social media integration and eCommerce. Roland management had determined that an assessment of available ERP systems was warranted.

Results

CMC was engaged to conduct a short and pragmatic ERP Evaluation and Selection Process for Roland. The process included:

  • Development of Business Demonstration Scenarios
  • Request for Proposal to Pre-Qualified Vendors
  • Preparation of weighted Scoring Matrix
  • Vendor Demonstrations of Scenarios
  • Preparation of a Vendor Selection Report

Roland decided on their preferred Vendor and Solution and is now in the process of performing Due Diligence, after which they will move forward to design and implementation. CMC is continuing to provide Project Management Support, Templates and Strategic Advice on an as required basis.
