FMC Mediation and Counselling had 3 Sage products – CRM, AccPac and Meridian Payroll running their organisation.
The CEO had identified weaknesses in the way the finance system was supporting the business and the organisation needed an independent review to determine the best way forward.
Core reports such as P&L and Balance Sheet were noted as being too difficult to produce, it was unclear as to how internal support might best be embedded in the business and how training could be most effectively deployed. There was also a concern over the effectiveness of the existing Chart of Accounts in terms of supporting business objectives.
CMC was enaged to conduct a review of FMC’s financial reporting issues and requirements and assess where “off system” spreadsheets were being used to overcome system inadequacies.
A strategy for remediation was defined and training requirements were identified.
